FBH Affiliation
What does affiliation offer?
Affiliation to the FBH (Federation of British Herpetologists) has many benefits including but not limited to:
1. Free Expert advice when confronted with anything to do with the keeping, breeding or selling of your exotic animals
2. Being part of a network of Clubs and Societies up and down the country working to help our hobby
3. Being able to have a free Club/Society table at all shows being run by clubs/societies affiliated to the FBH
4. Having a real say in the way that the FBH tries to move the hobby forward with being able to attend the FBH committee meetings
5. Being affiliated to the FBH you will also be kept up to date with any new or updated legislation that can directly affect your rights as a keeper and have a say in the process

What do we define as a Club/Society?
Definition of a Club or Society
The FBH (Federation of British Herpetologists) defines a Club or Society as an independent body that fulfils, but is not limited to, the following requirements.
1. Articles of Association – A Club or Society must have Articles of Association stating its aims and objectives.
2. Committee – A Club or Society must have a committee formed of at least 3 persons.
3. Accounts – A Club or Society must hold, at minimum, a treasuries account with a recognised banking institution.
4. Membership Database – A Club or Society must have a database and/or written record of members.
5. Publication – A Club or Society must produce regular publications, at a minimum circulation of a newsletter biannually

How do you become an affiliated Club/Society?
